THE BALLPARK AND THE TRIAS GROUP FORM STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP
New partnership provides general market and Hispanic expertise under one roof
Santa Monica, Calif. - The Ballpark, a Santa Monica based full-service creative agency announced today a strategic partnership with The Trias Group, a Hispanic market consultancy launched by former Major League Soccer executive Whit Haskel. In his new role as Vice President, Haskel’s responsibilities will include management of the agency’s California Speedway account, new business development and strategic Hispanic market opportunities for new and existing clientele.
The Ballpark Principals, Alan Berkes, Ron Luscinski and Andrew Shevin - with over 60 years of experience in marketing and advertising collectively - first collaborated with Haskel during his tenure with the Los Angeles Galaxy. They along with Haskel share a tremendous passion for ‘all things sports’ and have channeled that into their respective professional careers.
“We are thrilled to partner with Whit and The Trias Group,” said Berkes. “We are constantly seeking out new and innovative ways to enhance our current and prospective business. Whit’s unique background and understanding of the Hispanic marketplace will be a great asset to our current team and service offerings.”
As part of the partnership agreement, Haskel will continue to independently manage select Trias Group business including Feld Entertainment for Southern California (Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Disney On Ice) as well as other unique Hispanic oriented grass roots properties in development.
“I’m excited to work with Alan, Ron, Andrew and their talented staff,” said Haskel. “Though we may diverge as fans of some of the teams we support, we share the same passion for sports and entertainment. Businesses today must have the ability to speak to a diverse audience. Together we offer a unique perspective and a desire to help our partners surpass their objectives.”
The Ballpark, recently named as one of LA’s top small businesses by the LA Business Journal, was founded in 1999 and focuses on sports and entertainment. Their unique philosophy is to create “Fans of your Brand” using the allegiances fans feel for their teams as a model for marketing products and services. The roster of clients includes: NASCAR'S California Speedway, Upper Deck Trading Cards, DirecTV, The Walt Disney Concert Hall, The Hollywood Bowl and ESPN, among others.
Haskel, who most recently served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the Los Angeles Galaxy and later as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Chivas USA, is a bicultural and bilingual sports and entertainment executive and marketer whose career has spanned three continents and eight countries over fifteen years. During his tenure in Latin America, Haskel served as International Marketing Director for Feld Entertainment in Latin America, and Director of Marketing for the NFL’s Barcelona Dragons in Spain
